Introduction to UTBMS Codes

UTBMS Code Sets allow you to organize groups of UTBMS Codes and associate them to an Account or Matter. Thus allowing users to customize the codes based on their workflow and preference.

UTBMS Codes allow you to create itemized prices for specific or ad hoc chargeable items such as expenses or fixed fee items.

UTBMS (Uniform Task Based Management System) is a series of codes used to classify legal services performed by a legal vendor in an electronic invoice submission. UTBMS Codes were designed to standardize the categorization of legal services and expenses so that legal work and the associated costs could be easily identified and analyzed.

You can also sort and filter your UTBMS Code Sets using standard and custom list views.

  1. To show a filtered list of items, select a predefined list from the drop-down list view menu.
  2. To organize or create new filtered list of items or sort item within them.
  3. Select New to create a new UTBMS Code Set.
  4. Use this drop-down menu to edit or delete any existing UTBMS Code Set.
  5. Select an existing UTBMS Code Set to access, delete, modify or clone.
